Botanibooth

Two electrode pads measure the electrical impulses from the plant. These signals are used to visualize the misunderstood strength, beauty and intelligence of plants. The impulses control musical notes and controllers in DJ and VJ software. In this way I give the plants a stage to perform. By adding extra touch sensors on the leaves, other sounds and effects can be added. This creates a booth-like setup. Together with the plants we perform in live shows and art exhibitions. The installation creates a playful and interactive way to explore our (dis)connection with nature.
