About

My name is Jeanne Shaw, also known as Sjaan (1997). I am an Experience Designer, Visual Artist and Creative Producer. I develop and organise immersive experiences, interactive installations and art exhibitions. I work with a mix of audiovisual technology, digital art and physical space.
I have a diverse background in graphic design, 3D design and styling. With Studio Sjaan I now mainly focuse on using interactive technology as art medium. My artistic research delves into the human (dis)connection with nature and technology. By employing live-generated data and audience inputs, I craft dynamic experiences. Translating unseen forces and real-time interactions into new aesthetic insights, revealing patterns and connections we might not have consciously perceived.
I am passionate about exploring the potential of technology to create new forms of artistic expression and to connect people with nature in innovative and playful ways.

Background
I always have been drawing, painting and making collages. And I always have been interested in computers and devices. In 2017 I graduated in Spatial and Visual design at the Nimeto Academy in Utrecht. After that, I did my Bachelor of (Experience) Design at the interdisciplinary Artcode Academy Fontys School of Fine and Performing Arts in Tilburg. Graduated in 2022.

Since 2019 I work as allround freelance designer on various projects.
With my studio I like to connect people. I organise art exhibitions, workshops (for kids), cross-overs and other creative experiences.
